Renault 4 Ever
50 Years are passed, seems yesterday that before a summer trip, we used to see our parents charge a big amount of stuff behind the trunk of the Renault 4. It seems yesterday that we open the roof for watch the stars after a concert, 50 years are passed and i want all this feelings back !

Trying to understand the strongest design detail of the 1961 Renault4 figuring out how could it become now with actual lines, i increased just a little bit the dimensions of the old renault in order to have more available space in the front of the rear seats, this is because, by sliding seats back from the trunk, i can obtain almost a transformable rear bed, just increasing little bit the original wheelbase of the car.

in the roof i wanted to create a trunk retractable capote (or in a base model a transparent windshield roof) and  i tried to make the capote retractable trought a roll located in the top of the front windshield for  a complete opening space and unlimited height carriage in the rear part of the car (like a pickup) by putting the rear trunk down, but this was not looking good  and  it was not functional with the capote engineering.

that is the reason why  i used a classic trunk opening system and i put on the interior sides of the roof and trunk pillars, two sliding rails for the capote scrolling.
the new redesigned renault4 it's a five doors car, the front doors are opening like the 1961 model, the rear doors are sliding on two rails located in the back sides of the car, this give rear passengers easier ways to get into the car.

in the center of the dashboard, gauges are surrounded by an heart style shape but the strongest interior detail is the "digital globe" : is not a navi but it's a map, touching it, we can zoom in or zoom out in any earth location, like we do with our iphone's in maps application but in a different half sperichal lcd multitouch display.
when we drive, using the digital globe will feel like pirates in an adventure around the world ;).
the interior seating and other interiors parts are concepted in dual eco textile and leathers.
the propeller of the new redesigned renault 4 is located in the front part of the car and it's an electrically charged dual battery engine(in car replaceable). it also could be considered to have a 4x4 transmission for off road versions/use. the automatic transmission shift knob is located in the down center of the dashboard recalling the memorable 1961's renault shift.
